We are the largest builder-code product on Hyperliquid. You will be on the front lines of scaling PVP to millions of users, building trading interfaces that move billions of dollars in volume every day while still feeling fast, intuitive, and delightful.

React Native can deliver experiences that feel indistinguishable from fully native apps when designed with care. Performance is foundational, but craftsmanship is what turns raw speed into something users love. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, design, and product, shaping how real‐time markets feel in the palm of someone’s hand.

You will own the mobile experience that enables fast decision-making, social competition, and real-time coordination, while setting the bar for polish, usability, and expressive motion across the app.

What you’ll do

• Set technical and experiential direction for PVP’s mobile platform, balancing performance, architecture, and product quality
• Build elegant, high-performance React Native interfaces for real-time trading, analytics, and social features
• Craft delightful interactions including fluid animations, expressive gestures, tactile feedback, and carefully tuned transitions
• Partner closely with design and product to prototype ideas, refine interactions, and ship features that feel intentional and premium
• Translate design systems into reusable, high-quality mobile components that scale across the product
• Design and implement a resilient real-time data layer using TypeScript and modern state management, with graceful handling of connectivity changes
• Bridge native modules when needed to unlock advanced animations, platform capabilities, or UI primitives not achievable in JavaScript alone
• Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs and data flows that support responsive, bandwidth-efficient mobile experiences
• Continuously raise the quality bar by identifying and fixing performance issues, UI jank, visual inconsistencies, and interaction rough edges
• Ship production-ready features with strong observability, participating in monitoring, debugging, and iterative refinement post-launch

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years building and shipping production React Native applications using TypeScript
• Strong design and product sensibility, with a demonstrated ability to turn design intent into polished, expressive mobile experiences
• Deep hands-on experience with React Native Reanimated for building smooth, interruptible animations and gesture-driven interactions
• Experience using Shopify React Native Skia or similar low-level rendering tools to build custom visuals, charts, or animation systems
• Comfort designing and implementing complex gesture interactions using React Native Gesture Handler, including coordinated and multi-touch gestures
• Deep experience with modern React Native patterns including custom hooks, FlatList optimization, memoization, and performance profiling
• Proven ability to deliver and maintain consistent 60 FPS experiences across animated lists, charts, and real-time views
• Strong understanding of layout, motion, and interaction patterns across iOS and Android, including platform-specific nuances
• Experience building reusable component and animation systems that scale across large codebases and multiple feature teams
• Solid understanding of real-time data patterns on mobile, including WebSockets, incremental updates, batching, and reconnection strategies
• Familiarity with performance profiling and iteration using tools like Flipper, Xcode Instruments, and Android Studio, with a practical, product-driven mindset
• Experience owning mobile features end-to-end, from concept and prototyping through App Store and Play Store release
• A bias toward craftsmanship, thoughtful iteration, and shipping improvements that users can feel, not just measure

Bonus points

• Native mobile experience on iOS using Swift or SwiftUI, or Android using Kotlin
• Background building highly interactive consumer products such as trading apps, creative tools, games, or social platforms
• Experience designing motion systems or animation languages that scale across an app
• Contributions to the React Native ecosystem or open-source libraries
